We begin our day @ 0700hrs meetin @ SP.. An attendance takin commenced n we left 4 Singapore Cruise Centre.. Over dere.. We were given our goodie bags, life vest n our identification lanyards..
@ 0930hrs, we checked into e vessels.. We had our briefin done.. N e vessel had also sailed out sea..
We had some refreshments on board n @ 1030hrs.. E emergency exercise finally commenced.. E fire broke out n all of us had 2 b evacuated.. A msg frm e bridge by e captain announced thru e PA system tt e fire was under control.. But 4 e passengers' safety, we had 2 abandon e ship..
So in an orderly manner, we went down e deck 2 transfer into a rescue boat which ferries us 2 Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.. Also durin tis period of tym, a Chinnok helicopter was moblised 2 transport seriously injured passengers 2 e hospital..
My condition was 18% Chest Burns, 1st Degree Burn.. But wad was worst is tt I had severe breathin difficulties n serious coughin.. So upon disembarkment, I was immediately given medical attention.. N was diagnosed as a serious condition patient.. I had 2 b transferred 2 hospital via Civil Defence Ambulance..
E ambulance moved off soon aft wit sirens sounded all e way till Changi General Hospital..
Upon reachin, many docs n nurses were alr on standby as I m e 1st patient.. Also e press were dere snappin pics n videoin all e way.. I was treated by e docs n nurses.. Had glucose drip, had heartbeat test as well as many others.. I had also went thru CT Scan n was in incubation mode..
Subsequently, I was discharged..
E whole operation was six-hour long.. Involvin some 3,000 volunteers, officials, uniformed n medical personnel..
Aft e end of e op, a bus ferried us 2 Kallang Stadium where we signed out.. N had refreshment which I din wanna eat.. So I took e shuttle bus tgt wit Ben, Qihuai, Yude, Felicia Mei, Charlene n another fren whom I 4got his name.. Hee..
